Many clients faced aging hardware, high maintenance costs, and growing demand for disaster recovery, remote access, and flexible scaling. My role was to lead them through that complexity with a customized, secure, and disruption-free transition to the cloud.

I have created a tailored migration blueprint for each client, assessing their infrastructure, application stacks, and risk profiles. For staging and testing, I built a dedicated Azure subscription that mirrored client environments, allowing us to simulate real-world edge cases and validate tools like Azure Migrate, ASR, and Veeam Backup for Azure before production cutovers.

I used Azure Site Recovery for live replication, ensuring seamless switchover during maintenance windows. I also solved edge-case challenges like legacy print servers tied to physical license dongles using VPN tunnels and USB-over-IP pass-through solutions. Databases were migrated via DMA into either Azure SQL Managed Instances or SQL VMs, depending on app compatibility, with geo-redundancy configured for high availability.

Security was at the core of every decision. Each client was onboarded to Azure AD with Conditional Access, MFA, and Defender for Servers. I enforced policy compliance via Azure Policy and automated routine management using Azure Runbooks and Update Management.

To keep clients informed and engaged, I built a Power BI dashboard integrated into SharePoint to track migration progress, replication health, and cutover timelines. Weekly check-ins ensured transparency and built confidence throughout each phase.
